Porthleven Prize – The Song of Stones
Digital Print, Waxed Cord, Borrowed Stones ( now returned to the harbour)
2026
Throughout her time in Porthleven, Fleur was connected to the land’s terrain and the historical relationship between the sea and its people. Listening, archiving, and curation were used to create The Song of Stones. This is a set of stones retrieved from the harbour to sing for us. As the dominant species advancing in evolution, we often forget about the other beings that exist quietly alongside us. Here, the stones invite you to listen as they sing songs in their own quiet language.
